What about confidentiality?
Counsellingcam.com is a strictly confidential service.
But if a client tells me they are involved in any of the
following, this information will not be kept
confidential:
- Acts of child abuse
- Acts of terrorism
- Serious criminal activity
General information about
counselling sessions with minors can be made available
to parents or guardians after discussion with the
client. Also, on written request by the client concerned
I can give out information about their sessions.
At counsellingcam.com the latest updates are used to
protect our computer systems. Sessions are not recorded
by any means, audio, visual or otherwise.
Please remember that anyone who has access to your
computer could find out that you've contacted
counsellingcam.com, you must take your own steps to
prevent this. Free firewall software is available on the
internet, as is spyware to prevent others accessing your
computer. In spite of all of these security measures,
absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed regarding
your computer.
Using the medium of a computer webcam to talk with a
therapist may not suit everyone, but until you have
